NAPLES, Fla. – A Naples man was arrested on Monday for interrupting a traffic stop.

While a driver was pulled over for a suspected DUI, convicted felon Christopher Rodriguez, 37, intervened and was arrested for Obstruction of an Officer.

Rodriguez yelled across Immokalee Drive in an attempt to ask for the name of the person involved in the traffic stop.

After being informed to not get involved in the incident or he would be arrested, Rodriguez continued to approach the scene and disregard the warning.

He was placed in handcuffs and taken to the Immokalee Jail.

According to the Collier County Sherriff’s Office, Rodriguez smelled of alcohol at the time of the incident. He was previously arrested for possession of cocaine.
