Brits offered amazing first-timer cruise deals with second guest paying 50% off

CRUISE lovers always say that once you go on your first cruise, you’ll never want to stop – but they’re not always the cheapest.
Whether you’re first-timers or seasoned travellers, the Ambassador Cruise ‘buy one, get one half-price’ deal is not one to miss.
Ambassador Cruise is the first new British cruise line to be introduced since 2010, and it set sail from London Tilbury in 2022.
After completing its maiden season, the service expanded in spring 2023 with sailings from more regional ports, including Liverpool and Newcastle.
The line offers a variety of lengthier wintertime cruises to places like the Norwegian fjords, the British Isles, the Baltics, Iceland, Greenland and beyond.
You can now get 50 per cent off the price of a second guest on their cruises departing between April 7, 2024, and April 24, 2025.
The ‘Buy One, Get One Half Price‘ offer is available on Saver Fare and Ambassador Fare, including the ‘Expedition Drinks Package’.
The drinks package includes all of your alcoholic drinks, including wine, premium cocktails and beer – which are said to be some of the most expensive things to buy on a cruise.
The Ambience Cruise is a modern take on a classic vessel that can welcome up to 1,400 passengers in 798 cabins.
There is a large deck area where visitors can walk, take in the scenery and have a sunset cocktail.
Holidaymakers will also find two cafes, nine lounges, a swimming pool, and five restaurants.
Cruises can be overwhelming on your first trip, so choosing a shorter itinerary on a smaller ship might be your best bet, like the four-day Amsterdam City Break cruise.
The ‘mini-cruise’ allows travellers to enjoy the ship’s facilities and ‘first-class entertainment’ while discovering Amsterdam, a city of canals and culture.
The mini Amsterdam cruise costs £399pp for the first guest, while the second guest is 50 per cent off (£199.50pp).
This makes the total £598.50, which would be just over £299 per person.
Here are some more first-timer-friendly short cruises included in the sale:
That said, longer cruises are also great for first timers, as they allow more time on the ship itself and a relaxed approach to sightseeing.
These are some of the best Ambassador cruises included in the sale for those wishing to travel longer and further:
- Seven-day Spring France & Guernsey getaway from Tilbury – from £456pp
- Eight-day A taste of the Fjord from Tilbury – from £546.75pp
- Eight-day Scottish Islands & Edinburgh Festive from Liverpool – from £621pp
- 12-day Hidden Gems of France, Spain & Portugal from Bristol – from £846pp
- 12-day Iceland’s Land of Ice & Fire from Liverpool – from £899pp
If you don’t mind crossing to another continent, we’ve also found a new cruise to USA and Canada from £95pp a night, and it includes return flights, food and drinks.
For beach holiday deals instead, the British Airways sale has cut-price holidays to the Caribbean for less than £85pp a night.
There are also discounted long hauls and free airport lounge passes up for grabs in a new sale.
