Collision forces road closure near village

A crash caused the closure of a road near a Leicestershire village on Thursday (October 5). The closure was in place on Coventry Road (B4114) at the T-junction of Sharnford Road, close to Sapcote, according to police.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, at shortly before 5.20pm, Leicestershire Police said: “Please be aware that there is currently a road closure in place on Coventry Road (B4114) covering the T – Junction of Sharnford Road. The closure is due to a road traffic incident – Updates to follow.”
