Coronation Street fans do a double take as Hollyoaks star makes cobbles debut
CORONATION Street fans were left doing a double take as Hollyoaks star made their cobbles debut.
Fans tuned in to the latest episode of the ITV soap tonight following a schedule shake-up.
They watched as a potential customer of Webster’s Autos arrived at the garage.
The woman, who owned a local taxi company, was hoping to use the Kevin’s business to service her fleet of cars.
However, fans at home spotted how she looked strangely familiar.
It turns out the woman is none other than Nicole Barber-Lane who played the iconic Myra McQueen in Hollyoaks.
She sported a new appearance as she proudly displayed her greying hair and new dress sense.
Nicole, 53, was part of the McQueen family in the Channel 4 soap from 2006 until 2019.
Reacting to her debut on the cobbles, Corrie fans took to social media to comment.
One shocked fan posted: “Myra McQueen in Corrie wtf is happening?”
“What’s Myra McQueen from Hollyoaks doing in Corrie then?” asked another.
While a third celebrated the happy surprise, writing: “Aw Myra from Hollyoaks, miss her on there.”
“She was brilliant as Myra McQueen in Hollyoaks and would be happy to see her return,” added a fourth viewer.
Also in the episode, fans watched on as Jenny was informed she and her staff at the Rovers Return were sacked with immediate effect.
The new owners planned a major refurbishment of the Weatherfield landmark that resulted in it being shuttered.
