CORONATION Street fans are horrified after Tim Metcalfe was murdered by Stephen Reid.
The taxi driver – who is played by actor Joe Duttine in the ITV soap – has been suspicious of Stephen for months and tonight his curiosity may have killed him.

Serial killer Stephen has already claimed three lives.
He murdered Leo Thompkins to keep his dodgy dealings with mum Audrey’s finances a secret, and then he killed Leo’s dad Teddy when he discovered the truth about Leo’s disappearance.
Later Stephen murdered businessman Rufus, drugging him with LSD and then drowning him in his own pool.
And now it appears Stephen has struck again.
With Tim hot on his heels about Teddy’s body being dumped in the canal, Stephen began to get worried that he would be exposed before he could flee.
Having spotted Tim discovering the body, Stephen raced to catch him, climbing into Tim’s cab and pretending he needed a taxi.
But while Tim drove, Stephen tried to discover what he knew before realising he had to act, taking his tie off and beginning to strangle Tim in the car.
Tim managed to escape and ran off but when he stopped to tie his shoes, Stephen caught up and knocked him out with a metal pipe.
Tying Tim up, he dragged him back to the car and prepared to put him in the boot.
However Tim woke up and Stephen was forced to smother him on the street before dumping the car and covering it in petrol.
Devastated fans have flocked to social media to share how upset they are that one of their favourite characters might be gone from Weatherfield forever.
One person wrote: “Please tell me Stephen has not killed Tim. I actually have quite enjoyed the Stephen reign of terror for all its ridiculousness but I am NOT here for us losing such a great character.”
Another mournful viewer agreed: “Tim is one of the best characters on Coronation Street, he better not be dead.”
A third fan begged show bosses: “Please let Tim survive!!! I literally love his character!”
And one angry person threatened to kill Stephen themselves if Tim is dead.
