
Delays on Goethals Bridge to Staten Island due to traffic jam on Staten Island Expressway; Outerbridge Crossing residual delays from earlier truck crash on Wednesday morning
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Goethals Bridge Staten Island-bound has delays due to congestion on the Staten Island Expressway Brooklyn-bound during the Wednesday morning rush hour.
Delays on the Goethals began around 6:30 a.m., according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, a tractor-trailer truck jack knifed on the Outerbridge Crossing.
The Outerbridge crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on the Staten Island-bound New Jersey side of the span, according to 511 NY.
All lanes were temporarily blocked during the emergency response, according to 511 NY.
The Outerbridge crash was cleared around 6 a.m. and all lanes have been reopened, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
