Louisville Interstate 264 closed both directions Tuesday after crash

A major Louisville highway is closed in both directions Tuesday morning following a crash involving a semi-truck.
In a Twitter post at 8:10 a.m., TRIMARC said eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 264 were currently closed at mile marker 22.2, near Brownsboro Road. The closure is estimated to last between three and four hours, according to the post.
In a separate post, Louisville Metro Police said it was aware of the crash and would provide more information as it is gathered. And in an email, the department said the crash had been reported just before 8 a.m. and involved a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle. Eighth Division officers and traffic unit officers are on the scene along with Louisville Fire and EMS personnel, the email said, and injuries are reported.
