Man dies after falling into oncoming traffic during argument after crash on I-10
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A man died after he fell onto oncoming traffic after arguing with a person following a crash on I-10 on Saturday.
The incident happened on I-10 West at Raynolds.
According to preliminary investigations, the pedestrian had been involved in a separate single-vehicle collision before the incident.
It was reported that the pedestrian, a 29-year-old man who has not been identified, was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram westbound on I-10 and struck the center median concrete barrier multiple times before coming to rest on the right-hand shoulder.
Witnesses reported that the pedestrian and front passenger exited the vehicle and began to argue.

The pedestrian tried to attack the front passenger and subsequently lost his balance, falling backward into oncoming traffic.
The pedestrian was struck by at least two vehicles and died on the scene.
The front passenger left the scene.
Alcohol and pedestrians in the roadway are believed to have contributed to the incident.
The driver of the two vehicles involved in the pedestrian crash were not injured.
Special Traffic Investigations urges anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
This is the 30th fatality this year compared to 29 last year.
