Traffic chaos is gripping roads in Perth’s north after police shut down Wanneroo Road as they investigate a death.
A 600m stretch of road has been closed between Sylvia Street and Morley Drive in Balcatta.
Motorists have been advised to seek an alternative route as homicide detectives and major crash officers comb the scene.
The traffic jam is expected to continue for several hours with lines of cars trying to get around the roadblock.
Diversions are in place with commuters told to consider using Main Street or Flinders Street.
