TRAFFIC: I-64 E near Lawrenceburg exit closed due to ‘hazard,’ police say
Interstate 64 East near the Lawrenceburg exit is shut down on Thursday afternoon due to a police situation.WLKY reached out to Kentucky State Police about the incident, but all they said at this time was that a “traffic hazard exists on I-64 just past the Grafenburg exit” and that the roadway is closed.WLKY’s Chopper HD flew above the scene, which had multiple police cars and police tape across the roadway. There was also a black pickup truck on the side of the road with a smashed-out window and what appeared to be bullet holes on the driver’s side and windshield.Police did not say how long the roadway would be closed, either.This story will be updated when we receive more information.
