IDAHO FALLS – Two men were arrested Sunday morning after deputies reportedly found a variety of illegal drugs in their car after a traffic stop.

Joseph Angelo Keimer, 28, and Colby Wade Hokanson, 22, were charged with multiple felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and misdemeanor charges for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the car around 2 a.m. near the intersection of N. Holmes and Elva in Idaho Falls for a traffic violation.

Keimer, who was the driver, and three adult passengers were detained after the deputy said they could smell alcohol and marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

According to a news release from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found equipment used to package and sell illegal drugs, along with a variety of wax and edible products containing THC weighing over 1,500 grams.

Deputies also seized 22 edible products containing psilocybin mushrooms and just over two grams of LSD.

Keimer and Hokanson said the two female passengers did not bring the contraband into the vehicle when they were picked up.

Both women denied having knowledge of the drugs and paraphernalia found inside the vehicle.

Both men were taken to the Bonneville County Jail. Their bonds have not yet been set.
